Choosing a two decimal carat scale

I am trying to make my mind on a carat two decimal scale. Most people I have
seen in the gemstone business uses the Tanita 1210. I have seen in online stores
the My Weight Gempro-50, but the only information I have about that scale comes
from one of these stores, which does not have it in stock anymore. This store
has informed me that they do not have the Gempro in stock anymore because it is
a shoddy set of scale.

I would like to know the opinion of more users of
these kind of scales.

I really don't like the

I really don't like the Gempro 50.  I broke the pop up shield and couldn't replace it.  I don't know if they still make that model but even if they do - don't buy it imo.

I see the new Gempro 250 on their website (http://www.myweigh.com/pocketscales_gempro150.html),  250ct x 0.01ct or 0.005ct. That is something I like, when you can underclock a scale to achieve better accuracy.  Always better to buy a scale that has higher resolution then what you really need.  I'll email them for a few test models and let you know.  It looks like a much better scale from what I can see though.

The Tanita is certainly a good scale and good choice for sure but also has been discontinued I think. I haven't tested one of their new ones yet either.  Everyone has new models now,  old models must be getting old like me!
